
ABOUT US
Bea and Sarah are actively practicing professional doulas and homebirth midwife assistants in Colorado Springs, CO. Both began attending births in 2012. Sarah and Bea co-founded The Doula Circle in 2015 and currently lead some of Colorado Springs most experienced doulas. They have attended births at Evans Hospital, Memorial North, Memorial Central, St. Francis, Mountain Midwifery Birth Center, The Denver Birth Center, and countless home births. Sarah & Bea combined have attended over 400 births, from unmedicated vaginal, medicated vaginal, vaginal twins and cesarean births. Bea & Sarah have traveled the country over the years to attend various trainings led by the top figures in the birth world today, including The Farm Midwives, Gena Kerby the Rebozo Queen, Pro Doula, Birthing From Within’s Viginia Borboro, and Robert Newman of Calm Birth.

Bea and Sarah have combined the best and most useful of the trainings they have attended, as well as their hands on experience, in order to create a training unlike any other! The things you will learn in these trainings will be the cornerstones of your doula practice.
Traveling to training after training is time consuming and costly. Part One and Part Two of our Doula Training will prepare you to support women, build your business, and feel confident in your skills and knowledge.

Attend Labor Doula Training Part 1 & Part 2

Attend Breastfeeding Basics – In this class you will learn the basics of breastfeeding. You will attend this class with couples preparing for the arrival of their new baby. This is a unique opportunity to observe parents as they learn about breastfeeding. You will have the opportunity to listen to concerns and questions and to hear a professional doula address each client.

Attend Postpartum Prep – Similar to our breastfeeding basics class, this class is taught by professional doulas and attended by parents-to-be. You will learn how to assist your clients as they prepare for postpartum and once again, have the opportunity to witness the professionals as they interact with parents-to-be

Attend Natural Labor Coping and Positiong - This class focuses on comfort and coping techniques and will give you additional practice with hands on skills.

Complete the Required Reading

Receive 85% or better on Labor Doula Test

Audit a childbirth class (minimum of 12 hours)

Submit a Local Support & Providers Resource List with an explanation for why you chose to include that provider/support professional
Cancellation Policy
If you cancel your attendance with 30 days notice of the training start date, your entire fee is refundable. If you cancel your attendance with 29-14 days notice of the training start date, your deposit will be forfeited and the remaining fees will be refunded. Any cancellation occurring less than 14 days from the training start date will result in the forfeit of all payment and fees.
